OnDeck — Privacy Policy

OnDeck ("the App") is a walkup music and game day announcement app for youth sports coaches. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

What We Collect

• Account information: Email address and display name when you sign up.
• Team and roster data: Player names, jersey numbers, positions, and batting order that you enter.
• Audio recordings: Voice recordings you make for player name pronunciations. These are stored securely and used only for generating announcements.
• Photos: If you use the roster scanner feature, photos are processed on-device to extract player names. Photos are not uploaded or stored on our servers.
• Music preferences: Song selections and playback settings for walkup music.
• API keys: If you provide third-party API keys (ElevenLabs, OpenAI, Anthropic), these are stored locally on your device in the iOS Keychain and are never sent to our servers.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide walkup music and PA announcement features for your team.
• To sync your team roster and settings across devices.
• To generate AI-powered name pronunciations (using third-party AI services when you provide API keys).
• To build a shared pronunciation library so common names don't require repeated AI generation.

Third-Party Services

The App may use the following third-party services when you provide your own API keys:

• ElevenLabs: Text-to-speech voice generation for announcements.
• OpenAI (Whisper): Speech-to-text for voice recordings.
• Anthropic (Claude): AI-assisted pronunciation suggestions.
• Supabase: Secure cloud database for team data sync and authentication.
• Apple Music / iTunes: Music search and preview playback.

Each service is governed by its own privacy policy. We only send the minimum data required for each feature.

Data Storage & Security

• Team data is stored in Supabase with row-level security — only you and your team members can access your data.
• API keys are stored in the iOS Keychain, never transmitted to our servers.
• Audio files are cached locally on your device for offline game day use.
• Photos taken for roster scanning are processed on-device and immediately discarded.

Children's Privacy

OnDeck is designed for coaches, not children. We collect player names and jersey numbers as entered by coaches for game day operations. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. Team data is shared only with other coaches or operators you invite to your team within the App.

Your Rights

• You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings tab.
• You can export or review your team data by contacting us.
• You can revoke camera and microphone permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
